Neptunus is one of the largest providers of marquees, semi-permanent and temporary accommodation worldwide. With its 75 years of experience, Neptunus supplies marquees and accommodation for top events, in addition to demountable structures for numerous semi-permanent applications. In fact, anywhere where space is needed.
The company was founded in 1937 and in addition to its headquarters in Kessel, it has sites in Belgium, France, Germany, Austria, UK and Poland. In total, Neptunus employs over 200 people.
Anton Eilers loved to take long walks along the beach. In 1937 he found a chest washed up on the shore and when he got home and opened it, it turned out there was a marquee inside. Once this was set up, the neighbourhood held a party inside it. It was a great success and Anton Eilers decided from then on to rent it out. He named his company after the trident that was on the lid of the chest: Neptunus.
In the 60s Neptunus specialised in hiring out tents. Neptunus develops and manufactures its own products. Tents with steel structures and wooden walls are typical of this period.
Neptunus continues to evolve and is the first in the world to develop, manufacture and construct a temporary structure with three floors. The Triple Decker is born.
In 2002 Neptunus introduced the Evolution. It is a sustainable temporary demountable building that can be quickly constructed in a modular way, thanks to the ingenious roof-frame construction that is erected using a hydraulic system.
In 2010 Neptunus proudly presented its latest development, the Flexolution. The Flexolution is a demountable, semi-permanent structure and goes one step further towards a fixed building - it even complies with the Buildings Decree, and has been awarded Energy Label A.
Neptunus celebrates its 75th anniversary!
